Moon Jars are a Korean Imperial ceramic vessel art form. Echoeing the shape of a floating full moon. This hand built Moon Jar is a contemporary take on the traditional form with curvature at the tiny base. Hand built and fired in Japenese Raku technique. This piece is a unique combination of modern seamless form and tranditional techniques of ceramic art practice.
Lead Timeline : 4 to 5 weeks
This is a low fired clay vessel for décor and plays a holding purpose if flowers are introduced to it to use as a vase. Please note that the clay may start absorbing water and the logevity of the piece may get low. Utmost care must be taken when handling clay products. Clean/Dust with dry plat brush. Occassionaly can be passed through running tap water under the sink.
